How can you pay tolls without physically handing over money? It’s easy and efficient to pay tolls in Norway without using cash. As a visitor to Norway, there are three ways you can pay at Norwegian toll stations:
Take out an AutoPASS subscription for toll stations. With a valid AutoPASS subscription, you will receive a consolidated invoice for all toll charges in Norway and a 20 per cent discount on each toll you pay. You will then receive a tag in the post.
It takes approximately two working days to register a new subscription.
With a valid subscription, you will receive all available benefits and discounts whenever you drive in Norway. You will also receive these benefits and discounts while you are waiting to receive your tag.
You can take out a Norwegian AutoPASS subscription with any of the following companies:
If you are travelling through several countries that have toll stations, we recommend registering with EPASS24
This enables you to view all your toll charges and receive a consolidated invoice for all toll charges across all countries you visit.
You can also register your credit card details to ensure you pay for each toll and don’t incur unnecessary fees.
All this is accessible in the EPASS24 app, which you can download to your phone.
You can take out an EPASS24 subscription here
NB: This service is only available for foreign-registered passenger cars that weigh less than 3,500 kg.
If you do not take out an AutoPASS subscription or register on EPASS24, you will only receive a consolidated invoice at the end of your trip.
We do not recommend this option, as you will not be able to see a list of individual toll charges before you receive an invoice.
